Any advice related to taking the time to try and reserve for 9, or not wasting time and having other family members help reserve 5- and 4-person ADRs?

Places with large tables like Boma, Biergarten should not be a problem. Try looking for 10 instead of 9 . The system likes even numbers better.

I’ve always gone for split reservations in that situation. The bigger numbers definitely impact availability. Let us know how you do.

I agree with both these restaurants being the best bet for a larger group like 9 or 10. Over the past few years, the ability to get ADRs for larger groups has gotten significantly harder than it was 10-15 years ago.

OP - your best bet might be to do a little 'practicing' with 60-day ADRs and see which might offer openings for groups of 9 or 10. The information might be helpful. Out of curiosity, I just looked for a table for 9, 60 days out. I'm surprised how many options there actually are for early June. Your options will likely vary, and you might have more options if you're staying on Disney property and have the option to book 60 + days in advance.

Depending where you want to dine, you might need to break it into 2 ADRs around the same time. Then go to the restaurant to check in and request being seated together or very close to each other. Most restaurants will do all they can to accommodate you, but you might need to wait a little bit longer to be seated.

I would go straight for the split with similar arrival times and then ask to be seated together at check-in. We've done this for groups of 7-10 on past multi-family trips and had pretty good luck. I think there was only once that they were not able to accommodate us and it was at BOG, so a more popular restaurant.
