So today was our 180, got Ohana for an early breakfast and at the last minute decided to just go for it and booked CRT for a late lunch!

SIL has a costume phobia so although she's happy for us to go to them whilst she goes off and soaks in the atmosphere, we didn't want to have to do that too much. Our first day is just us (in laws all staying behind at the villa) so we had planned to do Ohana anyway but as MIL is only having one MK day we wanted to have a meal with them there then, which scuppered our original final day CRT plans.

I'm just hoping it's not going to be too much for the first day! I did think about cancelling Ohana but as we'll still be on UK time, I figure we'll all be up super early anyway!

Maybe I should just be thankful we even have a res for the time we wanted at CRT!

Now just have to hope we're as lucky with our other ADRs, I'll be glad when the're all done!

We're hoping to do Be our Guest with the in laws on the final day. What's the wait like? (we have disabled MiL to think of) and is there a best/worst time to head there for lunch?

I believe the hrs are 11:00 - 2:30. you should plan on a standby line time of about an hr if you get there around 12:00. People start lining up around 10:00-10:30 to start.

I can't speak from personal experience, but I have read a number of times that the queues for BOG start building up in the morning, and can be an hour+ wait, depending upon the time that you get there.

You are able to get a FastPass+ for BOG, though I think this is still in the early testing phase. I believe this is bookable at 60 days, but someone could maybe confirm this? From what I've read, it doesn't count towards your 3 FP+ selections per day. I don't think its booked through the MDE site, I think it's a separate site... I have this bookmarked, https://beourguestlunch.disney.go.com/

BOG FP+ is available for lunch to onsite guest only and can be made around the 15th of the month prior to the month you are staying. (as of now).

Ouch, that's quite a wait with little ones and MIL. Does the whole group have to wait or could I just wait?

Thanks for the link but we're staying off site :(

BoG is wonderful. But not worth an hour plus wait. I'd get an evening ADR or give it a miss personally. Also I'd dump your O'hana ADR. In my experience two in any one day is just overkill really. You won't have an issue getting O'hana breakfast for another day. I've got it half an hour before eating there a few times :)

I was going to. The only trouble is that it is the only day we can do it, as it's the only day SIL won't be with us. Having to walk around a park whilst we go to a character meal is one thing, she can't really do that at a hotel and as we're offsite, going back to get her after isn't a viable either.

The kids are really keen to do it too as Stitch has left his m&g 3 times at DLP whilst we were waiting!

Due to restrictions all 4 of our character meals are in the 1st week, it's not ideal and I'd have rather have spaced them out, but it's a case of that or not at all.

Any suggestions for an alternative to BoG for a nice final family meal in MK? No characters of course! I will see if I can get a dinner res but I'm not hopeful, there's none for our first day already!

Is your SIL missing the meal due to the character? If so there is no need. You get taken to a separate room for a very brief meeting with the beast at the end of the meal, he doesn't come to the table. She could very easily skip this part. She would be on her own less than 5 minutes probably.

Just realised I read this wrong. Sorry. Your sister could eat elsewhere at the Poly while you do breakfast. Kona Cafe is REALLY good and in the same building. No characters!
