curious to know how the advance payment works for CRT if you are on the dining plan? I went to book on the website and it said full payment required. What do I do?

I'm also on the disney dining plan and I've actually made my ADR online.

I thought all you need to do is to link your resort reservation when you make the ADR at CRT. You will still need to enter the credit card details as a guarantee but it does say on the webpage (just before confirming your booking) that your credit card will not be charged at this time. From what I understand, the cancellation policy is one day in advance and when you check-in at CRT for your meal, just let them know you are on a dining plan.

You can call and you won't be charged. Or you can book online and pay in advance. When you dine at CRT, let your server know you will be using the dining plan and give them your KTTW card and the credit card you used and you'll be refunded.

Just call. I called to do mine this morning. Just let them know you are on the plan and they will not charge but they will ask for a credit card in case you do not show up they will still charge you for the meal

No need to call, just link your disney reservation to your account. It won't charge you if the dining plan is on your resort reservation. You will need to give a credit card number whether you do it online or call- but it is just a guarantee, not a charge (as long as it is linked to the dining plan). I just did this three days ago.

You are supposed to be able to link your dining plan to your resort reservation online. However even before the roll out of the new website it did not work 100% of the time. Your options are to make it online and hope that linking your DP works, or call the dining line to make sure.

The online reservations aren't working so well. Ideally you could link your resort reservation with dining plan added and you'd only need to put down a credit card guarantee. But like much else regarding Disney IT these days, it's not working so well. You may need to call.

Now I am planning on purchasing the dining plan, will they refund my money? Can they do that for me when I call to purchase the dining plan?



Also, can someone give me a quick run down on what happens during a lunch ADR? i.e. what princess are normally there? Is there a 'hosting' princess that you get a picture op with? (I would assume it is Cindy)

I am taking my two boys, age 4 and 6. I'm just wondering what kind of interactions I can expect. I'm thinking I might get them some cool crowns for them to wear during lunch.

If you want use DDP credits, they can definitely refund your credit card at the restaurant, I have done that myself. I'm not sure if they can do it on the phone. If they tell you they have to cancel and rebook to change the payment method, I would not chance it and wait until you get there.

Cinderella greets you in the lobby for pictures and autographs, then upstairs in the dining room, the usual princesses are Jasmine, Aurora, Snow and Ariel. They boys will get swords.

1. Yes. If you made the res in November, your trip is probably coming up soon. I would wait and tell your server that you have decided to use dining credits and they will refund your credit card. You can call the dining reservation line if you want your money now. Just make sure the CM understands you just want to change the method of payment. The easiest way is to cancel the res and refund your card. You do NOT want that to happen because in the brief time between your res being cancelled and rebooked someone could be online and take the res. Then you would be without a reservation. If you do modify the payment online you will still have to give credit card info for the no show guarantee.

2. They might be able to transfer you from CRO to the dining line, but the CM who books your dining plan is in a different department from dining reservations.

3. You will have your photo taken with Cinderella in the foyer. Once you are seated at your table 4 princesses will visit all the tables. Last time we saw Snow White, Ariel, Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), and Jasmine. It used to be Belle, but she's no longer at CRT since she is at Enchanted Tales with Belle.

4. The princesses will give your boys plenty of attention. They will each receive a sword and wishing star. If the adults want a sword or a wand ask your server and they will happily give them to you.
