If I have ADRs for 4 people and only 3 show up, is it a problem at the restaurant? What if the ADRs are for 3 people but 4 show up? Can they still serve you? Will it cause any problems?? I recall during our 2003 trip on several occasions not everyone showed up for the meals, and it was no problem. I made the ressies for our trip in Aug during the Free Dining promotion. Originally, only 3 of us were going. Now it appears another one of my daughters will be joining us. Do I have to cancel the ADRs I already have or can I call and add 1 more to the ressie??
Thanks,

If you show up with fewer people than you booked, it's never a problem (unless of course it's a restaurant like CRT where they will chrage you or a no-show).

If you show up with more people, it might mean a longer wait...but there is little difference between 3 and 4. Generally three people will be seated at a table for four anyway.

I tried to add once to an ADR and was told I had to make a new one. Since the new one was much later than the original, we cancelled altogether.

You could call and ask about changing but since 3 people are almost always seated at a 4 topper, it shouldn't be a problem.

We have shown up many times with 1 extra or 1 less due to last minute circumstances and never had a problem. I wouldn't show up with 4 extra people but adding 1 to a party of 3 shouldn't make a difference in the table selection.
