Can I still make an ADR for Boma when we are staying off site? Take it the man at the gate will have a list of the ADRs and will let us in to the car park?

Last year we were staying in AKL and it wasn't a problem but you couldn't get into the car park without your name being on the "list" of arrivals or something and then you are given a pass to display which we won't have.

I am sure someone will correct me if wrong but I think you drive to the gate and they give you something like a 2/3 hour pass. Then you park your car and off you go

We have eaten twice at Boma's whilst staying off site. Just gave our name to the man on the gate, he cheked us off his list and let us in.

There was no mention of a time limit.

Fab thanks - Dad wanted to stay at AKL but can't justify the money he's said so we planning a late start to the day, then AK then over to AKL (change of clothes in the car!) - in to the loo's to get changed then have a chill in the bar / watching the animals while waiting for our ADR.

I can't qait to go back and have a look around again - was gutted when we left after a week last year as we didn't feel that we really took the time to appreciate the place and going back for a few hours to see the Savannah's and the artifacts in the lobby etc as well as fabby Boma soup (just marginally better than mine!!) is a treat!!

Thanks guys
xx

I'd recommend also having your ADR number to hand when checking in.. I remember at one place (I think it was the Contemporary) we had to have the actual number as well as our name. I think it's to stop people using the resort car parks to go to the parks which I imagine is a problem there as it's so close to MK.

The security guard at the gate should give you a parking pass - sometimes they put the 3hr limit on - I think it depends how busy the hotel is. Mainly got them at the hotels near the MK.

Someone in the car (most sensibly, the driver) should take photo ID. The security staff at the gate always ask for that.

We stayed off site and ate at BOMA last year, we needed our ADR number and DH (who was driving) needed photo I.D, they then gave us a parking pass, no time limit on it.

I have done something tonight I have never done in over 50 weeks we have spent in Orlando, made an ADR. I was at DTD picking up our Annual passes and halloween tickets for October, we always just turn up and walk in for meals never been turned away but got talking to cast member and he checked for availabilty for 22nd August(day we were considering), only 2 time slots left 4:00pm or 8:25pm so we are booked in for Boma at 8:25. :)

Wow, Wayne, that's a first!! :yay:

We ate at a few resorts last time. We were always asked for name and ADR# when arriving plus photo ID. The meals were booked in my name and DH was driving but they didn't seem to mind whose ID they saw, guess because our surnames are the same. Sometimes we were given a 3hr timeslot, think that was at the Poly and WL because they're near MK.

We loved Boma, we're definitely going to book there next time! :dance3:
