ADR before Illuminations Dessert Party

Mods, please move if this is not posted in the right spot. I wasn't sure if I should post here or in the Restaurants forum.

We have the Illuminations Sparkling Dessert Party booked at 8 pm on 8/26. Just wondering if an ADR at Rose & Crown Pub and Dining Room at 5:40 pm is too late? Or if I should move it up to an earlier time?

That will work fine, time-wise.
(I'd arrive and R&C 30 min. before your ADR time and check in as soon as they will allow it.)

HOWEVER, do you want to eat a big meal at R&C and immediately head over to
eat a bevy of over-priced desserts?

(If you DO, that'll work.)

Thanks @Robo! I know it's probably going to be a waste, as I'll be too full to eat the desserts, and DF isn't a desert person. But, the only thing really making the dessert party worth it to me is having a controlled, reserved area to watch Illuminations. I don't do well in large crowds at all, and want to be sure we have some sort of view!

If you're really wanting a sit-down meal, what about doing it as a late lunch and just grabbing a snack later on if need be?

Honestly, August 26th shouldn't be a very crowded day (it's a 5 on Easy and most recommended) and finding a great spot for Illuminations shouldn't be too difficult at all.

Your view will likely be just as good and the surrounding "crowd" will likely be less if you just pick a spot on your own.
There are literally dozens of spots around WS Lagoon where you can either be in front along the fence, or just behind one other person.

If you're at the Dessert Party, you WILL be in a "crowd" and likely not in front, either.
