In the past, ESPN Club didn't take reservations - has this changed with all the new dining plans?

Thanks CamColt. It's actually good news for us. We really don't like preplanning our trip, so its nice to know that at least 1 of our favorite places still available to us.

We have never waited long for a table. No matter what time we have been there.

Do any of you know if there are any "rules" about hanging out to watch a game? We're going there to watch the ND/PSU game on September 9th, using a TS credit...

We're going to get there early, but will we have to order something every hour we're there, or can we order our meals then hang out 'til the game is over?

We always go to watch the Patriots games at ESPN and have sat for an 1/2 hour to an hour before the game, then watched the entire game. We have never had any staff ask us to leave or pressure us to order more food/drinks. We usually let the server know when we get there that we are going to "space out" our meal. We usually start with a drink and appetizers. Then once the game is underway we order lunch, then we order more drinks/desserts if we want, but I have also just had water after we finished our meal. We do tip well though for taking up a table for such a long time. I think the staff expects people to sit and watch the whole game and not continually order stuff.

Go PATS!!! :cheer2:

That's wonderful to know! The only other time I've eaten at ESPN was in Baltimore during a University of MD game, and they DID have a rule where you had to order something every hour of the game. It stunk for us, since we weren't there for that game (we were watching a Notre Dame game).

My husband is VERY happy to hear that... (I just told him, and he said "yay! but tell them that the Pats suck!" ;) We're just jealous because we're Eagles fans, and the Pats beat us.)

One thing that puzzles us is that every time that we eat at the ESPN Club the left hand line for restaurant seating is backed up and every time (4 times on our trip last month) we can get right in on the "bar side" and find tables or sometimes booths. DH pointed out that maybe some folks with younger kids than ours don't want the "bar side" but actually other than it being on a grander scale with sports and tv's everywhere, it's no more a bar than our local Applebee's, Chili's, or TGIF's. The food at ESPN is better than at any of those chains however.

We are going here for DH's bday in October. So you're saying there will be a line for bar side and restaurant side. If the restaurant side line is long, we can get in the bar side line and it's not just a bar over there there are tables and booths but we have to find them ourselves, we aren't seated?
