ADR at CG/Wishes viewing

I am just getting going on planning a May trip and missed the opening of the ADR window. I tried for an 8:00 at Cali Grill in order to be able to watch wishes at 9. The only ADR options were 7:20 or 9:00.

My question is, if we check in 15 or 20 minutes early, will we be allowed onto the terrace to watch wishes even though we haven't been seated?

I've never been there, is there someplace we can "sit at the bar" while we wait for our table?

Take the 7:20, you probably won't be seated on time anyway.

Just incase you were to take the 7:20 ADR and finish before Wishes starts, you can go back to the California Grill to watch it. Go back to the 2nd floor check-in with your reciept from that evening, show it to the Cast Member and they will let you back in the elevator.

Thanks, I'll probably go with the 7:20. We will ask to wait for a window seat and stretch out the courses. I think we'll be OK to see Wishes near the end of our meal.
