ADR Anxiety!! Anyone else?

I was thinking this 90 +10 was great...
Oh yikes I'm nervous. Last night I went through and filled in back-up plans for things JUST in case.

I know!!!! I'm SUPER nervous! Eating is a huge part of DH & my WDW fun. :rotfl: Don't get me wrong, we love :lovestruc Disney, but my control-freak personality requires me to have all my ducks in a row. I have a back-up plan, but if I have to pull in the "3rd string" restaurants, I might just have a nervous breakdown! :rotfl2: Good luck to all of you! popcorn::

Going to be there the exact same time as OP, June 20-27, and I am sitting here trying to figure out what ADRs I really want to try and book on Sunday- forget about the work I should be doing, :rotfl2:

I am not too nervous - for me, I hope for the best and I do try to have flexibility too. Plus, I am not making many ADRs because we are going late June and the heat and humidity will get us.

Good luck and I hope you get everything you are requesting!
Mary

Sunday is also the first day I can make ADRs, I am going the exact same dates at the OP. I am a little nervous but you know what? It's just food. Well, that is what I keep telling myself anyway. I know I will be disappointed if I don't get what I want and I will keep trying but in the end, it's just food.

That said...be flexible! And have a back up plan. =)

I do my ADR's on thursday for our 6/24-7/1 trip. after reading all of these i am pretty nervous especially because sci-fi and le celliar are on my list!!!

I called this morning. Was on hold for 10 minutes. I had all my ADR by 7:23. Good luck to everyone.

I got through at 6:01 this morning (sat) answered at 6:12 and got everything in this order:

6/25 Fantasmic Dinner Package - Hollywood and Vine 4:20 Show time 9
6/20 Sci Fi Diner Not available
6/21 Sci Fi Diner not available
6/27 Sci Fi diner 3:50 (wanted later but happy to get this one!)
6/22 LeCellier (2:15 not the time I wanted but we'll deal)
6/19 Garden Grill 4:45
6/24 Akershus 10:35 may cancel this one as DS got Cinderella's for 8:30 (she got through at 6 and answered right away)
6/21 Crystal Palace 8:15 breakfast
6/26 Rose and Crown 7:30 dinner
6/23 Tusker House 4:30 dinner

It took 1 hour and 10 min to do them all. I started dialing at 6:58 and was off the phone at 7:08

Good luck to everyone calling tomorrow!

I also called today to make my reservations for my trip from 6/19-24. I overslept and didn't call until 8:20am (CST), but I only had to wait about 30 seconds to be connected to someone. I think it took about 10-15 minutes to make 3 ADRs. I was able to get everything I wanted except LeCellier was booked for dinner. We were able to get it for lunch on 6/20 though. I was expecting the worst in terms of wait times, so I was pleasantly surprised.

I was thinking this 90 +10 was great. Now I am getting so nervous! There are people already booking ADRs for the later days of my trip (6/20-27) What if my restaurants aren't avail when I call on Sunday?

I call tomorrow too, and I'm thinking the same thing! We are only making 3 ADR's this time (we're doing the QSDP) and I do have a back-up for my first night, but still. I hope we can get the few that we are hoping for!

OK now I am REALLY starting to worry. Certainly not everyone is like "US" Disboard readers and will call exactly at opening time 90days in advance right? WHy is it so hard to get the dates/times you want when calling the first possible day you can make the ressies? I don't get it! :confused3

That being said - here are the places we want to book (and approx times). Can anyone tell me if there is any particular "ORDER" I need to request them?

Askerhaus 10a
Kona 6pm
Ohana 7pm
Biergarten either 12n or 6pm (not sure which yet)
Chef Mickey 11a (or whatever late bkfst time would be at)
1900 Park Fair 8am
Crystal Palace 8am or 1p (not ure which yet)

So it sounds like I can't just say "I want to make a reservation for 11am at Chef Mickey." Sounds liek they tell ME when I eat even if I book 90days advance???

I would request Crystal Palace first (if you want an 8am seating), Ohana second and Chef Mickey 3rd. The rest shouldn't be too hard to book.

Good Luck!
Kathy

Trouble over ADR times can be avoided when you 1. have options on a second or third time/date seating 2. are willing to do any of the meals that day or 3. be willing to split your ADR among multiple tables (for larger groups). This morning I had to be flexible with my times on an ADR in DHS because Fantasmic packages blocked up prime slots.
The CM can also tell you what other TS are open for your party at that time in the park, so you may need to shift to another place to keep the party intact. They really do their very best to accomodate you, but they only have so many slots to work from.
Don't be anxious. Just work out a few options and you'll be fine:)

I have to call tomorrow too. Do you know what time I should call? The number is 407-wdw-dine right? I assume I'll need a credit card but would a debit card work?

Yes, the number is 407-WDW-DINE
Call at 7am, might want to start dialing a few minutes before
Have your list and backups ready to get through it as painlessly as possible

GOOD LUCK

My advice is stop worrying. I called 7am on my 90th day and got everything I wanted except a Fantasmic package. I called a few days later at 7am and got the Fantasmic package. Both times I was on hold for close to 40 minutes. Then I decided I wanted to change things around and I called at lunch time. I got a person on the second ring and I was able to make the changes I wanted. One other time I decided to make a change and called at lunch time. Again I got a person immediately and was able to make my change. I am kicking myself for all the worrying and for all the time I wasted on hold. It was such a pleasure to call in the middle of the day. So don't worry - be happy. There's still reservations out there and there's lots of great second choices. :thumbsup2

Called today at 7:00, I waited for about 30 minutes and it took about 20 to get everything. I got all the restaurants I wanted. I had to be a bit flexible with times, eat a little earlier some nights, but that is okay!

We are really excited!!! :) And I sure am glad THAT is over with.

I am sure I can get most of what I want, but I will admit that my Fantasmic Package has me concerned. I've noticed it's really hard getting a table for 5. They also don't like to do a split 2/3 because that means taking up a 2-top and 4-top. I'm just going to try to be flexible, and if I can't get the F! package, it'll be okay--we can miss it. My friend could go see that show on her own. After you've seen F! twice in 2 years, you don't really have to see it again.

I guess I was lucky to be "in the dark" about all of the 90 days business. We didn't make our reservations for Disney until we only had 70 something days to go. I got all of the ressie I wanted except CRT. I only thought of that one about a week ago after reading a few things on here. I have even called in the last week and gotten what I wanted.

I am FREAKING OUT!!! And I still have oh... 90 days until I can actually call for my 90 days on June 20th.

I had no trouble with my ADRs last year but I had no character meals and Le Cellier on the +10 day of my trip.

This year is different. When I call on my first day, I am going to need to book Chef Mickey's, California Grill, Crystal Palace, Donald's Safari Breakfast and Kona Cafe. I will later need to book Ohana and CRT for days past my 10th day.

Oh boy, I have a tough road ahead for me in the summer.

Good luck to you all!
