ADR 101 - How to?

Silly question, but is there anything specific you need to know when booking an ADR? Do you sign in to the Disney site, select the restaurant , select 'Find Table' for the date and meal that you want and then select the time from the results? What happens next?

I can't book ADRs until later in April , but want to be prepared. I'm worried too as I've read people saying they have issues trying online.

Have your credit card handy. Depending on the restaurant, you may have to pay in full. Some others, you'll have to put in your CC info to hold your place (this card will be charged the no-show fee if you forget to cancel it).

I get them asking for a CC for no shows...but why would they charge in full? We will be on the Disney Dining Plan and would use a table credit as opposed to paying OOP

I don't know the official policy, but I imagine it's to make sure you show up. Someone else here should be able to answer that for you.

I didn't realize you were on the DDP. I am not positive as I haven't experienced it myself, but I think as long as you're on your account with your DDP linked when making the reservation, it shouldn't require pre-payment. Someone should come along and correct that if it's incorrect.
