I've been having a pretty rough couple of days. I wasn't quite ready to post this but I could really use the support. We have decided to change from Kazakhstan to China, which means that we cannot even submit our dossier until October and therefore, will not travel until next fall. I spoke with our agency and the goverment is becoming increasingly difficult to work with and they feel it is only going to get worse. Although the new "rules" do not affect me in particular, my agency feels that this is a sign of very difficult times to come. Please just say a prayer for any families in the middle of the process who may be affected by these new regulations and the children that it leaves behind... they are going to need them
.
I just wanted to wish you well and let you know that the rollercoaster ride will end and when you get off a beautiful baby will be placed in your arms. I understand some of what you're going through. We had just had our dossier sent off when our gov't "accidently" bombed China's embassy in Baghdad. I was so scared that China would shut down it's program since most adoptive family are American but luckily after a few tense days things settled down.
Unfortunately, every program goes through highs and lows and sadly children are the innocent victims.
