adoption update ... We are ALL home safe and sound!

Hi guys! Just wanted to update everyone! We got home today with our new arrival ... CONNOR JACKSON FONG!!!!!!! Everything happened MUCH earlier than we expected! Our birthmom's due date was 5/25. She called me about noon on 5/6 and told me she thought her water broke. We raced to where she lives (about an hour away), and at 5:57 pm I was fortunate enough to witness my son's delivery! Our birthmom is such a courageous woman!!!!! She told me she wanted me in the delivery room to enable me to tell our son all about the day he was born! So, I was able to take part in that!

Everything went super great at the hospital. The birthmom was actually thanking us for helping provide tha child with a much better home than she could.

The baby weighed 6 lbs 2 ozs and is 20 inches long! He is just wowwwy! We never dreamed how wonderful this would be!

He arrived 6 hours before our 10th anniversary and 3 days before Mother's day!

Thank you so much for all the support and prayers you have given us during this roller coaster ride. Please continue to keep the birthmom and her family in your prayers if you can!

(p.s. I have a picture, but not sure how to insert it! any ideas? where can I go to look for directions?)

What a beauitful story.
I have "warm fuzzy chills" reading it.

I am glad you got to witness your son's birth.
The birthmother sounds like a wonderful, mature & loving woman.
I am sure she loved Connor so much that she wanted him to have a better life.
That is wonderful.
I will keep her in my prayers, as I am sure this is a very hard moment for her.

Btw--I love the name Connor Jackson, especially Jackson!
