Adopting a female soldier??

I just found this particular forum, and read that some people have "adopted" soldiers (in particular, a Brownie troop adopting a female soldier), and I thought what a great thing that would be. I would like to get the info. needed and pass it on to my daughter's Brownie troop. Can anyone help?

J&D posted a link to Operation Military Pride in another thread. I've bumped it up for you, but here is a link too <b>OPERATION MILITARY PRIDE</b>

On the right side of the page toward the bottom under the heading "want to be involved", click on "ways to show support and get involved". This will take you to another page where the second option is "adopt a deployed military member".

Then you will get another screen to complete and in the special requests box at the bottom of that page tell them you would like to sponsor a female. It worked for me
