We would buy the ticket. It isn't worth the risk of getting caught and embarrassed.

question and you need to have a thick skin when you ask a question like this on a public forum. You WILL get all kinds of feedback. Also the comment about leaving the child home, IMO was unecessary and hurtful. She even apologized for asking this question. Her tone was not "I'm gonna cheat Disney so there!" and I think she didn't need to be responded with sarcasm.
So she either has a set of 9 year old twins or a 9 year old and a 3 year and 5 month. So she is not just over 3 but WAY OVER 3.DBC said:04-28-2003, 07:34 AM #1

Can't decide between cat 3 & cat 4
I am traveling with my DH, DS 61/2 and DD 11mths next April. I have been researching both cat . 3 and cat.4. I just can't decide if the extra space is worth the money. This is the first time cruise for all of us. I know she will still be napping and on formula. Thought having the wet bar and vcr might be nice. Help!!! Any comments on these two catagories. Thanks Linda

There is a height measurement line on the ticket booth and if the child is below it they get free admission.
This works well because of the safety limits and height rules on rides, children under 1m have a smaller selection of rides available to them, whereas based on age a tall child may still of been able to ride all the rides but get in for free.

Okay, so right now (or by the end of October) the daughter is three AND A HALF years old - not 'just over' or 'just turned' three, but halfway to being four - and the OP doesn't even indicate when they're planning to visit. Options:as far as my cruise in 03, i did leave my daughter home at the end due to the cost
That's great in theory, and I'm sure it works fine where the height restriction is the same for all such restricted attractions - but if Disney or Universal were to try that, there'd be issues over Guests wanting/expecting reduced rates for children tall enough to ride some attractions but not others. To avoid all the hassle of guessing a child's age and relying on the judgement of the staff on the ticket booths a lot of the UK themeparks have changed to children under 1 metre (3ft 3in) get in free.
