Hi,

Please can someone tell me the benefits of staying on the Admiral's floor? Is it worth upgrading?

Thanks

We stayed a couple of weeks ago. There is a separate check in desk for people on Admirals floor which has much shorter queues. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room and you get a voucher for one free basket of teabags/coffee etc but it doesn't contain many. I believe you can also get free towels at the pool but we never swam.

We had a family room and they are all on the admirals floor. I think if we had the choice we wouldn't bother upgrading.

i thought that you got breakfasts with characters each day and afternoon tea ........... obviously got confused ......... which hotel does this please

It's the Hotel New York Empire State Club that has characters at breakfast and a lounge with snack in the afternoon. You also get VIP fastpass.

Sorry for asking, but do you have bunk beds in this family room ? Is this room bigger than the normal rooms ?

Do you mean that you won´t upgrade again ?

I´m thinking about booking the Admirals Floor for a us (2 Adults & 2 Children)

The benefits you get seem to vary from time to time.

When we stayed 2 years ago we got:

- Dedicated check-in
- Free tea and coffee facilities
- Free towel hire
- Room on a higher floor (we also paid extra for a lakeside view)

I think those benefits are always available.

Then in addition we had:

- Hot breakfast in separate restaurant
- Afternoon tea/snacks (we also loaded up with cans of coke and sprite there too!)

Those two were a welcome surprise to us, and they were well worth the extra money in my opinion. Without those two extras, the Admiral's Rooms are not worth paying extra for (we only paid extra to get a high lakeside room to see the fireworks, but ended up watching them in the park every night anyway, so that was a waste!).

Trouble is, you never know in advance if you are going to get any nice 'extras' with the Admiral's rooms.

We really loved the NPB - can't understand why people seem to have a downer on it. Only negative for us, was the slightly long walk.
