My small business is an essential business and we are still open. I have 1 of our team of 16 working from home, everyone else has declined and opted to come to the office. We are an industrial supplies provider and are busier than ever.

Tomorrow is Administrative Professionals' Day. Normally I would take the admin's to lunch and bring them a card and a potted plant or candy bouquet depending on their taste. I was debating getting them all a massage gift certificate but most of that won't work this year.

What are you doing for your admin or what would you like to receive if you are in an admin position?

Cater in lunch? Give them the option to choose a day to leave 2 hours early with pay? Buy gift certificates anyway?

I need some ideas for something special when we cannot really do anything.

I work for a hospital as admin. I work closely with nurses and docs. The docs always buy us flowers with a gift card and the nurses get us lunch. This year they’re going to do take out from a local Italian place. Each person will get their Own meal this year instead of doing a buffet type meal.

I would say gas GC, but gas is so cheap right now, but they could hold on to it for later.

Just go straight to the source. Get them contracts on a few hundred barrels of West Texas Crude. They'll even get paid to take the oil! ;)

Serious answer- if any of them are big coffee fans (always have their starbucks, carribou, etc..) a nice-sized gift-card to their coffee shop of choice is always appreciated.
