Administration set up process after resale is a joke

I just had a situation with closing and resales this morning that only adds to my puzzlement. I called to check on the points we bought and closed on (recorded 11 days ago). Yes, they were finally in the system! However, the points we sold and closed on 4 days before that are still ours. I feel so bad! I bet those new owners are mad!

It's not uncommon for them to set up an owner's account one day, and move the points into it the next. That's what happened with our resale, and others have reported the same thing.

This is one reason we only ever buy direct from Disney so many headaches the resale way.

I saved over $12/pt by buying a resale (including the closing costs). To wait 10 days to get into the system was certainly well worth it to me!

If you need to make reservations for a vacation six weeks from now, then obviously resale isn't the way to go. But if you're looking to vacation in a couple of months, why wouldn't you want to save a couple thousand dollars???

Actually all our contracts have had such great incentives we only paid 59 dollars a point for our HHI contract with the incentives offered and same with the SSR contract we paid far less than the going rate.
