Adjoining rooms?

Are there connecting rooms at any of the deluxe resorts?

Yes. You can request them when you make your reservation, though you are not absolutely guaranteed to get them.

Our room at the Poly (Samoa building) last year had a door connecting it to the room next door. Other resorts have them as well.

Just remember (I worked 7 years at a Marriott), that adjoining just means next door to each other. Connecting has the actual door between the two rooms.

We had connecting (door opens between) at both AKL and WL as well as the Dolphin. We have requested this every trip and had it every trip. My parents travel with us and the boys are always going back and forth between the 2 rooms. For us, connecting is better than adjoining. (and probably better for those near our rooms or there would be a lot of door opening and closing going on !!!)

Just a tip...in Disney reservation-speak, 'connecting' and 'adjoining' do not mean the same thing.

Requesting a connecting room means that you want two rooms that are right next to each other and have an internal door that permits you to go from one room to the other without going out into the hallway.

Requesting an adjoining room means that you want rooms that as close as possible to each other. The rooms may be next door with a connecting door, may be next door without a connecting door, or could be across the hall, down the hall, etc.

If you want the internal door, you need to specify that you want a connecting room.

Our reservations at POP actually say "Connecting Rooms" on them and two different CMs have told me that due to our family size we will be guaranteed connecting rooms.

Should that fail, considering the fact that my brother is paying a small fortune for the Cinderella Wedding package that week I think we'll call his CM that kisses... I mean aids in all their wedding needs.
