Well it's hard to believe there is a button that inserts guaranteed when a few pages later the policy is stated there is no guaranteed.
That is a complete contradiction.
I have had very custom type requests typed into my reservations.
These are clearly showing my my paperwork that is no way a programmed response.
So a CM did indeed type in a request that showed.

I've seen the drop down menus. It's very much there, as is an emphasis on the policy of when to tell the guest that rooms are "guaranteed."

I don't know why it'd be that hard to believe. It's Disney.

I actually remembered that I had emailed Guest Relations at one point during this argument years ago and saved it. This is what they said when I asked if I was a single mother traveling with 5 minors what I would do about connecting rooms.....

Since you will be the only adult in the travel party, your rooms will be
guaranteed connecting as long as the Resort you chose offers this
option.

To secure this type of reservation, you may contact the Disney
Reservation Center directly by calling 407-W-DISNEY (407-934-7639) and
an agent will be more than happy to assist you.

I'm not trying to say anything will actually be 100% guaranteed, just that Disney tells folks this kind of stuff all the time, trains people to say it, and has a policy for when it's appropriate.

But this is a completely different discussion. I think several of us has alluded to that if it were one adult with enough minor kids for two rooms that Disney would have to connect the rooms. The liability alone would not be worth the chance. And maybe that is the only time the CM is supposed to insert a guarantee.

But the OP and many others are not talking about that situation. They are discussing 2-3 adults plus some kids in 2 rooms. In that case there would be no reason for Disney to guarantee it when the guest themselves have opted to not book the category that would keep them together.

Right. It kind of morphed into a "Disney doesn't guarantee connecting rooms" thing. It's been said before that even a single mother with multiple kids wouldn't get a guarantee (which I think is why I emailed) and to book a suite or villa.

I already said the OP's situation wouldn't get a guarantee. They'll book 2 rooms on 2 reservations since she is now 3+ adults, and link them together with the request for connecting.

It's put in as a guarantee when there are 2+ adults (not just one) and any number of kids. They'll have 2 rooms on 1 reservation a guaranteed connection on the reservation.
