Are there alot of adjoining rooms at Pop? Does anyone know if AoA LM will have adjoing rooms?
If you have made the adjoining room request, how often is it honored?
My mom and I are taking my kids and we will not all be going to sleep at the same time and with 4 girls, we could use two bathrooms. We're considereing AoA Nemo, but the adjoining rooms are a bit cheaper.
Any input is appreciated!!

You are confusing terms.

All of the rooms are adjoining.

Not all rooms are connecting, which means they have a door between them.

Depending on how busy the resort is at the time you go, you may or may not be able to get them.

If it is important to you, I would make that my only request. Forgo online check-in and wait to check-in at the resort and then tell the CM you will gladly wait for a room that meets your request, if possible.

The two times I have wanted connecting rooms, we have gotten them that way.

I've requested connecting rooms twice and got them both times. The other year, I had a three-part request (I wanted a first floor, corner room connected to another room) and they were able to get us in the exact configuration that we wanted WITH online checkin! :thumbsup2

If you have multiple requests, I agree with MissyTara - place them in order of preference with your most important request first.

we've always had it @ pop! we would request it when we made the reservation and just make sure when you check in but we get it every year. we will be staying @ AOA too so i don't know about those rooms.

Glossary, as used by Disney Room Assigners:
Adjoining Rooms: Rooms that are next to each other.
Connecting rooms: Rooms that are next to each other, with a connecting door on the inside of the room.

OP - are you looking at a Family Suite at Art of Animation versus two connecting rooms at Pop Century? That might be the confusion here. If that's the case, go with the Family Suite since you are guaranteed all that with six people. You aren't guaranteed connecting rooms at Pop or any other Disney resort.

Yep, this. And there's no assurance that adjoining rooms will be next to each other. In practice, adjoining often works out to "as close as possible."

Thanks for clarifying the terms.
My AWESOME TA found out that AoA Mermaid will have many connecting rooms. We're considering AoA suites, but it would be nice for everyone to have a comfy bed. I'm just not sure how comfy the pull out couch would be to sleep on, but it would be nice to have a couch to sit on if we are there during the day. I thought my mom would get a kick out of the 60's section of Pop. Basically, I'm more confused than ever.:confused3

I requested connecting rooms at All Star Sports when i booked and my paper work says "guarnteed connecting rooms" and yes connecting rooms is ALOT cheaper then a family suit and opens you up to tons of resort options
