Adjacent cabins, with tent?

I asked a similar question, before becoming aware of this forum. Thanks for any help on this.

Can I be reasonably well "guaranteed"/"assured" that if I ask for 2 cabins, I'll get them close to each other? Anybody tried it?

Also, if I ask for a tent/popup site close to the same location, but choose to pitch the tent next to one of the cabins, will the Disney rangers frown upon this? I suspect they would. We're looking for the best options for our group of 16.

Well I'm no expert, but when we stayed in the 2100 loop in a cabin, there was camper,tent camping right behind us. I'm assuming the 1100 loop. The comfort station was right there as well. I would assume if you set up a GG with your group they can help you out with location.

As far as putting a tent outside your cabin, I don't think they would allow it and there really isn't a place for it.

Actually, it was probably loop 2000. When DH & I stayed in the cabins in 2003, we saw a couple of families have tents out on the decks. Don't know if people are still doing this or not.

I would like to say that if it was on your deck that you would be fine as far as the Disney Police.. . They do not like anything outside of where they design for use. for example, you get a warning if you have your tow vehicle not completely on, or at least on the concrete pad at your campsite. Even if it doesn't look like your in the brush. I took some pictures of the cabins while there over the weekend that I will post in the Play by Play Pictures thread ( when I create it ) to get a reminder of the area around them.

I had requested to be in a cabin close to my parents cabin this past August and we were placed in cabins next to one another.
