Planning to use one UY for trips during certain months and the other for other months does make sense. We just added a second contract with a different use year, I hope we didn’t make a mistake. We’ve been members for close to 20 years and we’re happy with our original purchase but we recently retired and our travel is changing. We were both teachers and only traveled in the summer due to school schedules and coaching. However, we’re now planning on taking two trips a year, one in the spring and one in October. Our original use year is December which will work nicely for a spring trip but we also want a fall trip and a December use year didn’t seem like the best choice since we’ll be outside of our banking window if we need to cancel.
Our plan is to use our original December use year for a spring trip and our new October use year for an October or November trip. Hopefully we won’t regret my decision because it’s a hassle with two use years. Thoughts?
OP is planning to use all points together on a single trip every year. Having 2 UY does not make sense in that case.
