I currently have a room only reservation for June 2019, and am planning to add DDP and Tickets to make it a vacation package. I have currently paid the minimum on the reservation, with plans to pay more over the summer.

My question is when should I add these? Is there an advantage to doing this early or waiting until the last minute?

You can add tickets at any time and the DDP at least five days or more before check in. I would add tickets and the DDP at 60 days out, though, so that you will be able to make fp's when it opens at 60 days.

Just wanted to mention that tickets and DDP can't just be added to a RO reservation. In order to change to a package, the RO will have to be cancelled/refunded and a package booked, requiring new deposit of $200. Since RO and packages are different reservation systems, money paid toward one cannot be applied to the other.

This. :thumbsup2
