Adding tickets to room key

Has anyone ever purchased Park Hoppers before going and added them to their room key when they arrive at the resort? Can this be done? There is a good deal right now through ticketmania and mousesavers. I would like to purchase these, but would really like to have only one "card" to worry about during the trip. I have also read about people who have had trouble scanning paper passes to get into the parks. I would not like to have to make a trip to guest services if my pass wouldn't scan! Standing in line to have my backpack searched is agony enough when the MK is so close!
