My MIL and BIL are going with us in Sept. on the Free DDP.They've already got theirs but now my FIL wants to go too.Has anyone tried to add a person to there plan after they've stopped the Free dining?I know everyone in your room has to be on the same plan so do you think he will be able to get Free dining too? :confused3

I called to see if we could add my neice on to out plan. They told me that you could add someone on to the plan but they would have to check in and check out with you. In other words they would have to stay the entire length of vacation and they would have to have the same tickets that the rest of the party has.
If there are less than 4 people in your room it won't cost anything to add them onto your package but the cost of the ticket

ok.My MIL and BIL were staying in there own room anyway and if they add my FIL then the 3 of them would have the same tickets. So he will be able to get Free DDP?

We did this with my mother's boyfriend. He wasn't planning on going originally, but changed his mind. It took a while for the Cm to find out about it all (I think she was new), but eventually her supervisor was able to come take care of it. We actually added on an extra room for him, and he got the free dining, but the Cm told me that that was the last room available on that deal at that resort. They were able to do it I think because 1) there was a room left over that they had allocated for those packages, and 2) she asked me if he was a member of my household, I said no, but he is a member of my mother's who will be there as well, and I think that had something to do with it. He was just added on to my reservation rather than making a different one, so I guess it really just counted as a change in the reservation. We didn't have to pay a change fee because it was changed more than 46 days before our arrival date, so depending on when your going, might want to find make your arrangements soon or risk paying the fee. All you can do is call and ask really, the worst they can do is say no, but I would think it would be ok since you already have space for him in the room.
hope this helps a bit!! :thumbsup2

Also,(and I could be wrong on this), I don't know how old Shellie's niece is, but I'm guessing she was under 17 and counted as a child or junior in their room, and that this is the reason it didn't cost anything extra to add her to that room. To my knowledge there is always a fee of $10 per night tacked on to the room rate for more than 2 adults in a room. I might be wrong, but might want to keep that in mind so you aren't surprised if the room rate happens to go up. :)

There most definately is a charge for additional adults in a room. The third or fourth adult is charged at value resorts a fee of $10 per night plus tax per additional adult, in the moderates it is $15 per night per additional adult plus tax and I believe it is $25 plus tax for deluxe resorts.
We added our adult daughter for our Sept 16 free dining trip. 4 nights plus a 1 day park ticket cost an additional $134 for her. Still a pretty good deal.

Wow, I didn't know there was such a difference in fees for extra adults!! This is the first time it has been anyone but just me and my husband, I'm sorta glad we decided to try a value resort for the first time!!

I did know that there would be a fee for him.My BIL is actually not an adult so there will now be 2 adults and 1 child(he is 15) in the room not 3 adults. But thank you for warning me ahead of time.I told my MIL so she can call herself.I didnt book our packages together because they are so wishy washy about plans I didnt want to be involved in all that but hopefully she can get a CM to work it out for her( she can be pretty persuasive - how do you think they are going on this trip with us :) ?) thanks for all the info I'll let you know what they say.
