Adding room location request to existing reservation

Can I do this online or do I need to call?

And, since we'll be arriving probably late in the afternoon, is there any point to making a room location request?

You have to call. Even if you are arriving late, I would still put in your request.

For any requests you would have to call CRO and add them to your reservation. We do this all time. Not sure about arriving late afternoon but it couldn't hurt to have the request on your ressie anyway. Try to remember that the simpler the request the better chance you would possibly have of it being granted. But it is just a request and it is never guaranteed. Here's some for you. I have to say that every time we've had a request it has always been granted. Hoping the same for you.
