adding pluses ?

We have purchased 3 ni pkg with free dining and with 1 day base ticket. One in our party of 4 wants to upgrade to get pluses. I don't want to upgrade entire pkg as only one of us is using pluses. First of all with the free dining pkg is this possible to do once you check in at the resort? Second, is the upgrade worth the money on a one day pass? If I read mousesaver correctly the one day is $47.93 to upgrade a one day pass. The pluses will be used at blizzard beach.

Also, does anyone know which is better for adding pluses to AP? The AP only needs to get 2 pluses. Is it better to pay admission using AP discount or upgrade AP to plus option, if the AP user only needs 2 pluses?

I'm not absolutively positively sure. But a Guest Relations CM at Epcot told me that yes you can upgrade your package MYW tickets one at a time. "Once the ticket has been printed and handed to you, it is an independent ticket."

Adding plusses to an AP (converting the AP to premium) makes sense only if you plan 4 or more visits to water parks, etc.

Adding plusses costs $48. regardless of the days on the MYW ticket. But a 1 day ticket gains 2 plusses (usable on different days if you wish) while 7 through 10 day tickets gain 5 plusses.

Lest you not be confused, you cannot add the Magic Plus Pack option to an AP. What you have to do is upgrade the AP to a PAP. The transaction is quite simple but you will pay the full $120+ price difference between the AP and PAP and your new PAP will still have the same expiration date as your old one had.

If you are talking about a single visit or two to a water park, you are better off just buying a one day water park ticket for $36.21. AP holders get a $4 adult/$3 child discount on them.

Seashore is right that upgrading the AP really only makes fiscal sense if you will use at least 4 water park admissions during the time frame remaining on it.
