Adding person at check-in and dining plan

We are not sure yet if my husband can join us on our vacation, so we won't add him to our package with dining plan (paid, not free). If he joins us ( at check-in or a couple of days later) and add him to our room, can he get the dining plan even if we are past the 72 hours prior limit?

I am not sure, but I don't think so. When will you know if he will be joining you? It is probably a good idea to add him now and take him off if he can't go.

No, he won't have the plan if you add him at check-in or after, and you won't be able to use your dining credits to buy meals for him. His meals will need to be OOP.

If I remember correctly, you must add him no later than a week before you arrive.

Actually it's 72 hours but doing it on that short of notice will also cost you a change fee.

If you add him ahead of time. The room rate should stay the same. The DDP will increase but you'll also have extra meals. I do this when I go and DW can't go for the entire time. I get her extra meal credits for signature dining or room service. This comes in quite handy during the F&W festival.

The room rate won't be the same if you have three adults though. There will be an extra fee for the third adult in the room.
