Adding people to already booked ADRs

We have a 9 day trip in August. I already have all my dining ressies made and got everything I wanted. Just last week my daughter and her girlfriend (both 20) decided they wanted to come along.
We have 5 in our party so I don't imagine it would have be a problem if there was just one more since MOST (but I know not all) tables can handle even number.

I do not think I will be able to change the reservations to reflect the extra people since some of the ones we got are hard to get.

I've already told the girls they may not be able to dine with us and they understand and will simply go do counter service on their own. But my daughter girlfriend has never been to WDW and I want her to experience the great dining they have.

So am wondering if anyone has had any stories of showing up with more people then their booked reservation and how the restaurant handled it.

THANKS!

So you originally had ADRs for 3? And now there would be 5? If that's the case, you might have a problem as they would have assigned you a 4-top table...so you'd have 1 too many. Just to be safe you need to change as many of them as you can to the correct #. You might need to call back a few times for the hard-to-get ADRs.

I would agree that if your original ressies were for 3 or 4 people then moving up to 5 or 6 will require a larger table and be a problem at most locations.

If your original ressies were for 5 and you are moving to 6 then it won't be a problem at most locations, but I would still change as many as possible, just to make everything smoother for all.

At any rate hope your trip is great and she has a wonderful first experience and lots of yummy food!

Sorry I didn't make it clearer!

We currently are a party of 5.... Myself, hubby and 3 kids (12, 9 and 7). The older girls will make a total of 7.

Fortunately we are staying in OKW 2 bedroom so no change with rooms ressies!

If it was me I would call & see if you can add them better than showing up & not being able to be seated. ;) Even if you have to book another one around same time frame would that help out any? :confused3

Okay -- now we understand! However, the situation will still be the same -- you probably would have been seated at a table of six with your party of five. So by adding two more you would need a table for eight, which depending on how popular the restaurant is, may or may not be available. They will not automatically seat you. So just to be safe, change the ones you can and keep trying for the ones you can't.
