Adding Park Hopping in the middle of vacation?

I am taking the kids to WDW in a couple of weeks and I've been going back and forth with the park hopping concept. When my parents have taken us, we've had hoppers, but I'm on more of a budget. Is it possible to upgrade to hoppers for the last couple of days of the trip (I have a room/ticket package w/free dining)? If I do that will I just be charged the upgrade to hopper for the last two days? TIA for your help!

Because the hopper option is a flat rate, it doesn't matter when you add it. It will cost $35 per ticket to add it. If you want the hopper, save the hassle of another line later, and just add it to your tickets at check in.

I *think* (but dont quote me on this) that a hopper upgrade is $35 per ticket regardless of how many days the tickets are for..I say this b/c thats how much it was to upgrade my 3 day play pass and my 5 day pass to park hopper status...i could be wrong though
