Adding Park Hopper to last day ticket

We have the Magic Your Way package with base tickets. Are we able to add Park Hopper to our last day ticket- on that day?

Yes you can, but it costs the same whether you add it on the first day or the last day.

Is the price calculated by how many days are on the ticket or is it one price regardless of how many days? Like $50?

As the pp said the price is the exact same if you add it to a one day ticket or your entire length of stay.

Prices can change, but currently the Park Hopper add-on costs $59.00 per person, plus tax. This is the price to add the Hopper option on to any ticket, regardless of whether it’s a one-day base ticket or ten-day base ticket.

How do they distinguish what park you are attending on a 1 day hopper when you already have a MYW package?

I think the underlying advice here is if you are going to add the hopper, do it for the whole stay, not just one day to really take advantage of it.

If you only get a 1-day ticket, you have too choose MK or Epcot/DHS/AK.

I get that part. I was wondering in regards to the posters initial question where they have a 4-day MYW package and they are adding it for just the last day. Say they were adding in on their account or at the hotel. They would be paying the rate for the 4-day still correct? Otherwise how would they know which park to charge you for?

Yes because:

The price will be based on the original length of your ticket, not how many days are left.

It doesn't matter which park you're going to with a one-day hopper -- Disney has already figured the math:

A one-day base ticket for MK is $105. Add a hopper for $50. Total $155 (plus tax)
A one-day base ticket for AK, HS or EP is $97. Add a hopper for $58. Total $155 (plus tax)​

But as posted above, if you have more than a one-day ticket and you wait until the last day to add the hopper, you will be charged according to the total number of days on your ticket (both used and unused days).
