Adding on while at WDW

We are taking our very first DVC trip this June for 15 nights! We will be using our developer points at SSR and while there, we would like to take a look at the DVC center. Our guide is out of the Illinois Doorway to Dreams store. If we decide to add on while there, could we do that? Would our guide get the credit? Of course this all depends on the incentives at the time but we are definitely considering an add on Would there be any disadvantage to waiting until we got back home? Thanks for any help!

I will take a stab at your questions. I am sure if I steer you wrong someone else will jump in and correct any mis-statements on my part.

1.) If we decide to add on while there, could we do that? Yes you can do that. Disney will never turn a sale away no matter where you originally bought at.

2.) Would our guide get the credit? If you ever buy from another guide whether a different DVC location or even a cruise, they split the credit/commission. Your initial guide will be advised of your add on and will still remain your guide. No changes along the guide assigment.

3.) Would there be any disadvantage to waiting until we got back home? The only disadvantage would be if they offer something to you that is only good while you are visiting the world such as fast passes or something like that. Other than a few things the offer should be the same you can get when you get back home. This is a true statement on any add on other than those purchased on DCL or during a DVC Member event/cruise.
