adding on DDP

I have a package booked through AAA for August 13-18th. I want to add the DDP (Paying for it). I know I have to pay my balance with AAA this week (it's almost 45 days). How late can I add on the DDP and do I have to do that through AAA, or can I add it on when I arrive at the hotel.

I'm pretty sure you would have to add that through AAA, because DDP is only one part of a package. Normally, you can't use a discounted room and get DDP, but AAA packages are an exception to that general rule.

As far as when you would have to book, that is probably determined by AAA's policies, not Disney's. I'd call your AAA agent and ask them that question.

The inventory of AAA discounted hotel rooms with dining is different then the inventory of AAA discounted room only.

You can normally add dining, through your TA, a few days before you arrive BUT wait too long and may lose your AAA discount on your room rate.

With Disney, the DDP could not be added on less than 72 hours (3 days) prior to arrival.
I don't know if AAA follows the 72 hour rule, or requires even more time. It would not be less.

My AAA travel agent told me it could be added up to 7 days prioir to arrival

I contacted my agent today and I was able to add on the DDP to our package.
