Adding on a fastpass with Guest Services

We had a late addition to our group for our August - Sept trip this year, so all of our fastpasses were already made. I was able to add her on to a lot of our fastpasses and my Travel Agent was able to get Disney to add her on to almost all of the rest. The only exceptions are the usuals: Seven Dwarfs, Slinky Dog, and Flight of Passage. We were told by Disney that we just had to go to Guest Services, explain what had happened and then they will give us those three fastpasses for her.

Has anyone ever had to do this? I'm just wondering how long this usually takes and if we have to do this each time at each park, or if they can add her on for all three at any Guest Services desk or even at the resort. I'm kinda awkward when speaking in public and I have difficulty hearing in certain conditions (I have an auditory processing disorder, so I can't pick out what is said in a crowd even when they are right next to me), so I'm hoping to minimize how many times I need to explain the situation. Thanks for your input.

It will be very unlikely that your friend will be added on to those last Attractions. If your friend is an adult, she can speak with the Guest Relations CM and the CM can pull up the info via her ticket or MB. The CM will view where she is linked MDX-wise and will see who else has FPs.

You don’t need to be the one to explain everything at GR. Any ticketed guest can request assistance at Guest Relations.

Been there and couldn’t do that. I wouldn’t be waiting until arrival, I would be trying to book them as a single with overlapping times.

And even inside park, if they haven’t got yet, it’s easier to refresh for those singles.

OP

Doubtful they will do. Imagine if everyone did this with people coming a last minute or staying offsite. Disney can't make everything perfect - this is a don't hold your breath.

If anything they might do an anytime for which doesn't work on the headliners.

Did your friend post this same thing last week - very similar post with similar replies.

Agree with the above - if there are no FP+ then even guest relations can't book them. It won't hurt to try of course but I recommend being pro-active now! Try for a FP+ for one instead of copying and then refreshing/trying often to see if they can get at least an overlapping time.

You can also try other strategies like waiting until close to park close or using rope drop to ride standby.

There are so many situations like yours with a late add on or someone who is joining a party a few days after and Disney just can't accommodate all of these request if there are no more FP+ available.

I wouldn't anticipate having the friend added on. And really they shouldn't be added by any other way than just refreshing and trying to add them on. If guest service could just add someone on then everyone would do that.

The CM you talked to likely either didn't know what they were talking about or were confused as to what you were asking.

The best bet right now is to have that friend go on the mde app from time to time and try to just search/refresh and find an overlapping time if they can't find the exact FP time
