Adding 'no expiry' or 'hopping' to passes.

TicketMania is running a real bargain for Mousesavers readers, a 4 day pass with an additional 3 days "free". These are not hoppers, and come with expiry. Do you think I can add hopping and no expiration when I get to WDW?

It depends on whether they are special tickets that Disney sometimes makes available only to wholesalers or whether they are regular MYW tickets that TM is offering a deal on. Remember that the "free" three days only cost about $8 so it's not inconceivable that TM is doing it themselves as an incentive.

If they are regular standard MYW tickets, you can add the park hopper option for $45 +tx and the no expiration for $90 +tx (remember that you will now have 7 day tickets so it costs more to add no expiration).

If they are specialty tickets, you will not be able to change them in any way.

It's also possible that it will cost you the same as if you'd just bought them from WDW. To use your situation...... You buy tickets from the broker. When you go to upgrade, WDW will credit you for the amount the broker paid WDW for the tickets - not for the amount you paid the broker. The amount the ticket was sold for is encoded on the ticket. I'm not 100% on the details, but it is at least possible that you would be better off with a (reputable) ticket broker who can sell you a 7-day ticket with the extra options already on there.

I just checked ticket mania through my mousesavers link and it goes like this:

Magic Your Way (no hoppy, 14 day ex.) buy 4 days get 2 free-$206 adult

those are great prices!

This isn't the way they do it. I upgraded a ticketmania ticket from 8 day expiring to 10 day no expiration and was charged based on gate price difference. The amount the broker paid did not enter into the transaction. A poster who is a CM who sells tickets confirmed this.

Last I heard:

For Magic Your Way tickets that have been used at least once but not used more than 13 days ago, the cost of adding hopping, water park fun, and non-expiration is that posted above the ticket booth regardless of where you bought the ticket or what you paid.

I heard a buzz phrase "do a paper upgrade to gate price" although I am not sure whether, after a long impasse, you need to kibitz the CM behind the counter by uttering that phrase as an imperative sentence.

My question would be: why not just buy your tickets with hopping already added to it to? why add it on later? either someone hops or they don't, if you're a hopper...by the magic your way w/hopping! and get tickets cheaper at an authorized ticket dealer such as ticketmania.com
