Adding Even More Magic to FastPass+

Nope, you would have to book it from one of the kiosk located within the park. Now I guess you could use all three, book the fourth one at a kiosk before you leave, and then come back later possibly. Park hopping also means you must use your first three and then must book the other three at the park you are going to next.

Anyone know if you have to be actually in the park you are booking additional FP's for? For example, I used my first three FP's at MK and want to book at Epcot. Do I have to be inside Epcot to book the additional? The reason I ask is, if it's noon and I can't get my additional FP's in Epcot till say 5 or 6 pm, I might choose to stay in MK closer to that time?
If we can only book the additional FP's INSIDE the park where we want them that might be a hassle. If I completed my first 3 at MK at noon and I hop over to Epcot only to find I can't get on the attractions I want to until 6 pm, I would not be too happy.

The thing I think some are failing to realize is that the things we are coming to expect from FPP is far above what we had with old fp. I won't bother to go through the list. You would never know what the FP availability was when you hopped a park in the past.

I bet soon we will.....

Hopefully the phone app will allow us to "see" if FPs are available at other parks before we leave the one we're at. And hopefully the app will work correctly.

Agreed. Honestly, when/ if they get the bugs worked out and are able to fine tune, the abilities will be endless. You should be able to use the phone for everything, and the system will know which park you are in not only from the fact that you scanned your band at the entrance, but from gps when you connect to the app.

That is fantastic news. Now for the schedule change for our trip in 13 days. First we hear about a delayed rehab that helps us and now the bonus good news on FP+.
As soon as the 7DMT Shows up on FP+ It will be the trifecta of good vibes for our trip.

Do you really think there is going to be a FP left for anything worth it by the time you use your first 3 and then wait in line at the kiosk for an hour to see what is left???? :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Really? What-- you can't stand to see someone happy about their trip? There will be as much or more left after the first three than there was with the regular FP. And you can get the first three without running and fighting.

Thinking OPTIMISTICALLY for our December trip that smartphones will be used instead of going to the Kiosk for the additional fastpasses!:):cool1:

In the FP- days the message boards in the parks that shows the wait times would also show if there was FP available for the rides. I hope that this information will be available it the kiosks so you can decide what you want before getting to the kiosk. Ideally the phone app should show which rides still have FP available even if you cannot book the additional on the phone.

A few weeks ago we shared the latest plans for MyMagic+, and gave a look at more changes to come. We saw great response and interest in the news. Many of you expressed excitement about the evolution of FastPass+ and the fact that we were working on ways to provide our guests with the ability add more FastPass+ entitlements in addition to the three they can plan in advance and a feature that enabled the ability to make those additional selections while park hopping.

...

And we are pleased to let you know that as of next week our guests will be able to do just that.

So starting Monday, after guests have used their first three FastPass+ selections, they will be able to select another one at one of the kiosks located in each of our WDW parks. When they’ve used that one, they’ll be able to select another, and so on, ultimately providing guests with even more ways to customize their Walt Disney World Vacation. Guests will also be able to select and use their additional FastPass+ entitlements when they hop from park to park.

As we’ve said from the beginning, MyMagic+ will continue to evolve over time with the aim of continuing to improve our guests’ experience with us and in response to feedback from our guests. Today’s news is another chapter of that story and we look forward to sharing more with you as we continue to roll out and refine MyMagic+. Continue checking the Disney Parks Blog for more details.

ABOUT TIME! Hopefully we will be able to add our additional FP+ after the initial 3 from our phone/tablet through MDE, not just a kiosk. Those lines are already long :/

I'm also wondering what this means for FP+ like Illuminations or Wishes. How can we use up the first 3 FP+ when the Nighttime Spectaculars aren't redeemed until the end of the night?

That will certainly help! While the DW and I loved the new Magic Band and Fast Pass system, 3 just felt like not enough. This will help. Although I assume, for major attractions like Toy Story Midway will still fill up with the quickness.

Anyone at the parks yesterday or today?

Any updates?

I'm anxious to see how this all plays out.
We'll be there Sunday but want to know sooner popcorn::
