Adding Driver on EA

Now that we're in the home stretch (34 days!) I was hoping to clear something up. I have a reservation on EA under my name but also want my partner to be able to drive. I had read something here about signing him up too which I did, he's now an EA member and we have his card.

The question is, do I need to notify them beforehand on the reservation? Or will this be as simple as handing the checkout person both our cards.

Has anyone else been in this situation? (2 unrelated EA members driving the same car)

here's what their website has to say......i think since you're both EC members, then you can do it...i don't remember seeing anything on the online reservation form regarding additional drivers so i assume you do it at the gate when picking up the car.

Authorized Drivers

Free (in the United States and Canada) – An Emerald Club member, business partner, employer, or fellow associate who drives the car for business purposes.
All other additional authorized driver situations are subject to a daily charge.

Additional Authorized Drivers

All additional drivers must meet ALL rental qualifications in regard to age, credit card, and driving record as well as all other standard rental qualifications.
Must appear at the rental counter with the primary renter.
Must present a valid driver's license.
Must sign the rental agreement.
Must present an acceptable credit card in his/her own name
