Adding DP to room only reservation...

Hi all, I have read on here that you can add the dining plan to a room only reservation if you call. I plan to purchase tickets from parksavers and then linking them to my reservation before I add the dining plan. Do you think I'll have any issues adding the dining plan after I link my tickets?

No you shouldn't have any issues before or after purchasing tickets. I've done room only and added dining plan with no problems.

You have to call to book a ticketless package. You cannot add the dining plan to a room only reservation. The room only will be cancelled, your deposit refunded and a new package reservation will have to be booked. It will have a different deposit requirement ($200) and will follow all the rules of a package (i.e. final payment due date, penalties for modifications made within 30 days of arrival and cancellation penalties.)

This is exactly what I did for our stay. Bought the buy 4 get 3 days free off park hoppers and added them to our room and dinning package. I just linked everything together and it works like a dream. And saved me quite a bit of cash. I had to call to book our rooms.

I was there this past January and reserved a room only- no ticket package. When I called, the CM told me they have some sort of promotion going on where you can add the DDP even if it's room only.
This happened because I booked a split stay and it's much cheaper purchasing all your park tickets on one package rather than splitting them up into the two separate reservations.
So I had one ressie for 4 nights and 9 park tickets with the DDP + another ressie for 5 nights for room only with another DDP (which has to be separate and goes by the nights on your reservation.)
I'm not sure if this really was just a "promotional thing" but it's certainly worth trying to get it!
