Does anyone know how to link your Disney Reward bucks to your on board account?
Thank you

With the Disney Rewards account you get a credit card with the dollars on it.

What I had to do pre-pandemic is give a regular CC first, then go to guest services and then give them any gift cards and the Disney Rewards card. When I checked-in at the pier they wouldn't accept the gift cards and rewards card. That had to be done at guest services. When I got to guest services I then told them to prioritize the gift cards/rewards card over the regular credit card.

This is my plan for my upcoming cruise. I added the regular CC to my advanced booking and then I will go to guest services and add the gift cards and rewards card when on board.

You have all week to do this, since your regular CC gets charged at the end.

Don't lose any gift card or rewards card since the $ will go back on if you don't use it all.

I did this last month. Just attached my regular disney visa during online checkin, but went to guest services on day 2 and had them use my reward card as payment on my account. Make sure you know how much is on the card. I wasn’t sure and it took a long time plus a sea call to chase to get the correct total that was on the card!

They actually charge your CC when it hits a certain threshold....I think on a 7 day cruise it is around $400. It is not done all at the end. So if you charge $400 to your onboard account they charge your CC (after you use up your gift cards and rewards dollars on file). So, I think it is better to add your gift cards and/or rewards dollars early in the cruise so you can use them first. If you wait until mid cruise to add gift/rewards you may have already accumulated $400 on your account and your credit card on file will be charged before you get a chance to use up your rewards.

I agree you have to tell them how much reward dollars you are putting on the account. Once I had $200 on the rewards card and asked them to put $100 on the onboard account. They somehow used all of the rewards but it didn't show on my account....only the $100. When I went to use my rewards at WDW the day we debarked the card was empty. I was eventually able to get the money back after several calls to chase but it was a hassle. Check your onboard accounts before you leave the ship!

This past Wednesday on our Disney Magic cruise, which was our last night of the cruise, I took my Disney Rewards card to Guest Services. I echo what cvjw said, make sure you know the amount on the card. Also, if you have a Sam’s Club membership, buying some Disney Gift cards will save you a little money. I used them on the ship also for my account.

We cruised in October and we went to guest services with gift cards and rewards card. For the rewards cards, she ran it first for $1.00 and then on the pin pad device, it showed the remaining balance which she noted and then ran the card again with that balance.

How far in advance of my cruise should I request the rewards card? We’ve been accruing rewards on our card specifically for our next cruise.

Do you have any physical rewards card yet? If not I would allow at least two weeks to get the card or even more to be safe. Once you have a rewards card you can automatically add more Disney rewards to it instantaneously via online.

I presented it on the second to last day. They charged $1 to make sure of the balance. Super easy.
