Adding Disney Dining Plan for part of trip?

Was thinking of adding the Deluxe Dining Plan for part of my trip. Specifically for the two days I'll be at AKL. Reason being have a ADR for Sanaa and Tusker House.

Is there any benefit to adding the Dining Plan cost wise or is it better to just pay for the meals separetely. I figured the Deluxe DP would cover 1 TS per night. So that would be Sanaa and Tusker taken care of. And the QS / snacks would use at AKL and AK park.

Is it worth adding it? I think it would come to approx $300 for 2 days. 3 ppl

We've done this before for part of a split stay. I price out what we would eat and then compare that to the cost of the dining plan. Also we get the refillable mugs so that's a savings to factor in as well.

You would need to book your trip as a split stay, which may come with its own concerns. While they can make a note to try and keep you in the same room, there's no guarantee they will. And you'll need to make sure the tickets are attached to the earlier part of your split stay or it could interfere with you can make your FPs.

If you are only doing one, 1 TS credit per day, you don't need the deluxe dining plan, just the regular DDP. We are not fans of the DDP. We don't like to be tied down to how it's structured in terms of what you can and cannot order.

Dining plan credits are valid from check in until midnight of the check-out day(can be earlier than you get your room, just the check in activity at the front desk) that kinda gives you 3 days to use the 2 night’s worth of credits.
The extended time helps some guests spread-out the the “too much food” aspect of the dining plan.
The mugs you get with the dining plan should be active for 14 days.

The deluxe dining plan for (2) nights, 3 people would get you TS 18 credits. You could eat at Jiko, Tiffins and have HDDR (or another signature) your check-out night.

I would consider it in this scenario. However it does not sound like you need the deluxe plan.

I misspoke I meant the dining plan (middle one).

I wound up booking it tonite. Came to $331 for 3 ppl for 2 nights.
