Adding Discount to an Existing Reservation

I'm about to book for February next year, and am crossing my fingers for free dining. I'd like to just go ahead and book it now and get my reservations made while there's still lots of availability.

If I book a MYW Package with hotel and tickets, can I add free dining later?

What about if I book a MYW Package with hotel, tickets and dining plan, can I just add the free dining discount later and they'll take the equivalent amount off my reservation?

Yes, you can add free dining to an existing package, provided there is availability under that promo with the resort/room type you already have booked. You can book the package either way (with the DDP or without). If you book without it and add free dining later, your package price will stay the same but will show the dining plan. If you book the DDP now and add free dining later, your reservation will be adjusted to reflect that credit. I also wanted to mention that if you choose to book a room only reservation now and change to a package later, the room only would have to be cancelled/refunded and a package booked, requiring a new $200 deposit as money paid toward one cannot be applied to the other. HTH .

I am also looking at booking my package now and hoping to add free dining if available. If you have to switch resorts to take advantage of free dining do you have to cancel your old package and start a new one or is it an easy change?

As long as you already have a package, there is no need to cancel and rebook . The CM can easily change resorts and add free dining if the resort you currently have booked is not available under that promo and you will keep the same reservation number. Cancelling and rebooking only needs to be done if you are going from a package to a room only reservation or vise versa. Good luck and happy planning .
