Adding Dining program to existing tickets?

Half of our party has already bought park passes with hopper option-wondering if we can add dining program $35 and $10 to the tickets. I've been given contrary information due to the fact that we are DVC members staying on points-at a recent chat I was told by the host that I could do this, but the info on this board says otherwise. If not, I guess we'll get AP's and buy DDE. Thanks in advance.

i know this isn't going to be very much help but I would suggest to call Disney dining and find out for sure. There are alot of criteria thats goes with the dining package and I dont think it can be combined with any other offer .... so I am not sure if that includes DVC or not... hopefully someone else will know for sure but since you have already heard such conflicting things I would call.

Right now the info is that Dining can only be purchased with a rack rate MYW Package.
Package = Room+Tickets(min 1day) purchased together. Everyone in room must have SAME tickets and options.

DVC members have complained about not being included in the Dining plan(free or pay), So I assume that they are not able to purchase at this time.

Staying on points is not part of a package. So you can't get the dining package if you stay on points. They say they may have something to offer DVC members in the future, but nothing yet. Except if you have an AP or PAP, you can get the Disney Dining Experience card for $50 and get a 20% discount on most of the table service restaurants, including alcohol.
