Adding Dining Plan and losing Fast Pass+ choices

Has anyone had a problem with losing their Fast Pass+ choices after adding the dining plan to a reservation? I have heard of it happening when people add something to a reservation.
I now afraid to add the dining plan to my reservation for next month.

Yes, this can happen but a good CM can manage to avoid this for you. We just added the dining plan to our reservation (we had a room only) and we had already added our fastpasses. The CM booked our new reservation with dining plan, then got someone to transfer our fastpasses to new reservation then she canceled our room only.

Unlike CRO reservations, DVC point reservations don't need to be rebooked to add a dining plan.

That's what I was thinking. I don't see how it would affect a DVC reservation.

We added the dining plan 2 weeks before trip, & booked FP+ @ 60D mark. No problems.
