Adding DDP?

We are arriving at AKL on December 19th. We will be in the concierge level until December 24th. Then we move to BCV until December 27th, which I think we may add the DDP to that portion of our stay. Is that something I can do once I arrive without having to contact member services? I know we have to add 48 hours before our stay at BCV. I was hoping to add it once we are there and use Disney Gift cards as payment.

Are you using DVC points? If so, are they your points or are you renting? If renting, the owner has to add it; you can't do it.

If not using DVC, you will have to add tickets to this part of the stay in order to make it a package and eligible for DDP.

Yes, we are using our own DVC points for the entire trip.

I was told 48 hours before your trip begins. It has to be paid for at the time it is added. You might be able to use the gift card still over the phone.

I was told today by a CM that it has to be added 5 days prior to your arrival! Not sure if things have changed but I thought before it was 48 hours

You cannot add it without contacting Member Services. It is not 5 days prior for DVC reservations. It is 2 days.

Member Services will take your gift cards as payment. Be sure you have the cards so you can read them the numbers.
