I rented points out to people and have added the DDP a couple of days prior to them arriving.

I did ask on the dining thread But noone answered as we hv 9 ts meals booked for our last 5 days if if it was better to buy the ddp or as we will hv AP to buy a TIW card. Also buying into dvc if we can use any or all of these. Would still hv to pay oop for 4 anyway . Is there a discount for dvc at resturants and can i use with Ap or TIW. The ddp for the 4 of us will cost approx $800 plus 4 meals of arnd $130 each ehich wld still hv to pay for oop.
I dnt know what will work out cheaper.

The DDP needs to be paid for at the time its booked. It needs to be added a minimum of 48 hours before check in.

Whether the DDP will be worth will you eat all the CS meals with 9 TS in 5 days?

Personally we like the TIW card better as we get more flexibility about what we are eating and we get a discount on our alcoholic drinks too!

If we have done a TS breakfast we only want a snack at lunch and we like TS dinner - so for us the DDP wouldn't be cost effective.

Even taking days were we get a CS & TS dinner it is very close in cost.

We have a TiW card and for us the savings based on that are far better than using the DDP and it pays for itself after just 3 or 4 meals:thumbsup2

What you need to do is work out what you will actually eat and then work out the pros and cons for your family's dining habits. Don't forget TIW also gives discount on alcoholic beverages and if you have DDP you have to count in the costs of the tips as well. There are only a few restaurants that do a DVC discount and usually just at lunchtime (not sure which ones though as we have never had a TS lunch) - you can probably get a list off DVC.com

For us, we just wouldn't eat the amount of food that the DDP provides (too many desserts/snacks) and I like to be more flexible so we always do TiW.

If you do decide to go DDP it has to be added (and paid for) at least 48 hrs before check-in by the person whose points you are using.

Ok thankyou.I think we are going to go with the TIW card. Can I get this at one of the guest relations when we upgrade our passes to AP?? I know for a fact we can uograde our 14 day ultimate as spoken to disney already but know if we use any of the waterparks or disney quest days we can only upgrade to Premium AP so going to do it on our first day. If on the DDP can we still use our TIW card to get discount off alcohol or if we order an appetizer? And TIW is to be used in conjunction with AP right?

Yes it can be purchased at guest relations when you get your APs

And yes it can be combined with the DDP :thumbsup2
