Adding DDP to DVC reservation?

Hi! We are renting points for an upcoming trip and want to add the DDP. Can I do that when we check into the resort or do I have to pay in advance to the party we are renting points from? Thanks very much!

The owner you rented from is the only one that can add the DDP to the room reservation. It can't be done at check in. It has to be added at least 48 hours prior to your arrival date and must be paid for in full at the time it's added. All persons age 3 and older must be on the plan for all nights of the reservation.

Yes, that changed about a year ago, after a computer system upgrade that kind of linked DVC reservations into the Disney cash resort reservation system, requiring prepayment.
