Adding DDP through the DVC website?

So, we've never done the DDP either pre-Covid or since it has come back, because it's doesn't seem to math-out right, but we were planning on doing it on our next trip for no reason other than FOMO.

However, when I try to add it to my booking on the DVC website, I've gotten the dreaded Dwarves multiple times for the last 2 days. I type all my info, accept the contract agreement....then...Dwarves.

Is this a known problem and I will have to call MS instead of using the link on the website? Or is this some temporary/new issue that others haven't experienced?

Thanks.

Well, nobody seems to have had this issue, but as a follow-up:

I ended-up getting the evil Dwarves 3 times, but never got a confirmation or an email or anything. HOWEVER, I now have 3 pending charges on my CC!

I called MS, and the CM said that there are no dining plans on any of my reservations, and she recommended that I wait and make sure that those pending charges just go away before they are finalized on my CC, and if they do, then call MS to get the DDP.

At this point, I'm not even sure I want the DDP, since it's not worth is money-wise, and now doesn't seem worth it hassle-wise.

STOP pushing button:flower1:... Let all those pending charges 'fall off'. You just need to add DDP 48 hours before you trip. That gives you time to decide to go with plan.
Most people agree , no real savings.

Yep, no significant savings and in fact you can come out worse off if you happen to skip meals, but some people definitely love the feeling of not having to worry about price/paying during their trip - a more all-inclusive feel. Making full use of the plan and also getting the alcoholic beverages with the meals as available provides the best value.

Can also be a decent value for a split stay when you're staying for only one or two nights at a location and then moving on, since you get the refillable mug included in the cost of the plan that will last past the end of the first stay.

Why FOMO? You aren't missing out on anything, there is no special food exclusive to the DDP. And, if you are going during a time when it's offered to cash guests free as part of a package, the food can actually be worse. If the numbers don't work out, why would you want to pay more for something if you won't make use of it?

Thanks for the comments. I am well aware (as mentioned in my first post) of the lack of cost savings. This thread was made to address the website glitch, not justify whether or not I was doing the plan.
