DH and I will be in WDW in January. We bought a pkg. with a 3 day park pass. Our time is limited, but is it possible to add another day to a park ticket once we are there? Say on, Day 3 we are able to stay an extra day, can we add another day at the 4 day pass price?

1. Yes. It's very easy.

2. Yes. Go to any ticket booth or Guest Relations. You can even do it at the WDW resort's concierge desk.

The cost to add one day to a 3-day ticket is $30, per ticket, plus tax.

Wasn't there some rule that you had to have 1 unused day left on a pass to be able to add days. Can't remember from past threads whether upgrading in the park on the day you use the last day of your pass causes any problems. Just want to make sure you know whether you need to upgrade before you use that lat day admission or not (since I'm pretty sure if you used the 3rd day of admission and showed up at the park on day 4 trying to add that day you couldn't do it at that point).

1.Sorry. But, although some here mistakenly posted that info multiple times, that rule never existed.

2. Not true in many cases.

Your ticket can't be expired. In this example, when you go into the park on day 3, you have to upgrade the ticket before the park closes to have a valid non-expired ticket. Just stop at guest relations when you leave the park if you decide to do 1 more day..

Now if you want fastpasses pre-scheduled in advance, you have to upgrade the ticket now.

Good to know, Robo - I'd remember seeing it in multiple threads but had never had to do it myself so had no first hand experience.

Have a great trip!

To be clear...
Guests may upgrade a "stand-alone" ticket AS LATE AS close-of-business on the same day that the last ticket asset is used.

And, if the guest has the ticket linked to a personal MDE account (many do,) it is LIKELY that they can upgrade a fully used up ticket up to 14 days following that ticket's first use.

For sure, guests whose tickets were purchased as part of a WDW resort package can upgrade a fully used up ticket up to 14 days following that ticket's first use.

-And, since the OP in this thread does have a package, that's why I wanted it to be known that the "last day used" info did not apply here.
