Adding day to ticket

We have a 5 day pass and thinking of adding a day. We have one day left, so do we have to add the day before we enter the park on our last day? Or before we leave? Looks like it's about $10/person to add a day, is that correct? Thanks!

You can add it anytime you are there, but you can make FP+ selections that day as soon as you add it to the tickets so you may want to do it sooner rather than later.

Thanks for the info!! Can I add the day online or only in parks? If so where do I go to do this at the park?

You can't do it on-line or over the phone. You can upgrade it at Guest Relations in the parks or Downtown Disney. Also, the ticket desk at the resorts.

The concierge desk at the WDW resorts can sell and upgrade tickets (except for APs, which cannot be handled by the resorts.)

Price to add one day to a 5-day ticket is the same with or without ticket options. $10.65 including tax.

Yep, we once added a day AFTER we left Animal Kingdom about 5pm on the final day of the ticket. We had parkhoppers, and MK was open until 1am, so the ticket was still valid. Added the day at Downtown Disney, and used it about a week later. It was within 14 days of the first use of the original ticket.
