Hi!

I need your help once again :teacher:
I have a family of 5, Me, DH, DS9,DS6,DS4 - we are thinking of bringing my DN13 down with us in June/July but what should we do about our rooms. We really cannot afford to stay at one of the suites in the deluxe resorts. I'm at POR right now - should I go down to a value and book adjoining rooms? :confused3

All this planning has taken every minute of my day....and I love it! :rotfl:

Thanks!

I would book 2 rooms at a value if booking 2 rooms at the POR is not in your budget. Having 2 bathrooms etc make things a bit easier on everyone.
The FW cabins hold 6 people, that might be cost effective.
Have you thought about renting points from DVC members? You might be able to get a good deal on a 2 bedroom villa.

Great advice!!! Don't do 5 in a PO room. They are way too small, and I doubt you'd be comfortable.

2 rooms at a value means DN doesn't have to share a bed with one of your sons! Is DN a boy or girl, LOL? Either way, those full size beds can seem tiny if you have restless sleepers.

The cabins are nice, but I think a little too cozy for your group. Just my opinion, of course! And possibly the same price or more than 2 value rooms.

You'd need a 2 BR DVC unit, and they are very expensive, even when renting points, as you said.

Taking your DN is a great idea! It's so nice to have an extra set of hands, plus he/she will have fun.

Ask for connecting rooms, not adjoining if you want the connecting door in between. I think that's the way to go, 2 bathrooms. With as many kids as you have, they should be able to guarantee it.

Definitely get two rooms. It will keep you from going insane. ;)

If your niece or nephew is coming, won't his/her parents be footing the bill for him/her??

You are going to need 2 rooms. You can do 5 people "legally" in some of the POR rooms, but not 6. I guess you could sneak a 6th person in, but it would be SO cramped & the 6th person could not take advantage of any of the EMH stuff.

Moderate Hotel rooms are WAY to small for 6 people. Go for 2 rooms at a value if you can't do 2 rooms at the PO. Having 4 beds, 2 bathrooms, and the extra "spread out room", will be well worth the money!
